A fish that looks strikingly similar to Nemo has been sacrificed in a new controversial ad by Greenpeace Australia.
The cartoon clownfish is seen swimming in water, until the video pans out to show that "Nemo" is actually inside a blender.
Australian actor Richard Roxburgh provides the commercial's voiceover, and declares that this is the reality of the Great Barrier Reef's animal life if a Queensland coal mine moves forward.
The 30-second TV spot is part of Greenpeace's Save the Reef campaign.
"Right now, a proposal to build our biggest-ever coal mine in Queensland threatens the Great Barrier Reef," Roxburgh says in the ad. "Three million tonnes of sea floor with be dredged and dumped into the Great Barrier Reef World Heritage area. How much will we destroy in the pursuit of profit and power?"
